Replica of the famous scroll of the painting that is considered to be the most renowned work among all Chinese paintings. Original was painted in the 12th century during the Song Dynasty. Scroll housed in a cardboard box (1 corner torn) within a silk covered luxury wooden box.The silk covering with light wear. Monochrome facsimile printed on paper with 19 cm. illustrated silk paper on the end of the scroll. Published by Palace Museum – People’s Fine Arts Publishing in exactly the same dimensions as the original scroll. The facsimile of the painting is 25.5 centimeters (10.0 inches) in height and 5.25 meters (16,4 ft) long followed by another 6.60 meters of printed chinese calligraphy. Total length of the scroll is almost 12 meters (39,37 ft). Not dated (ca. 1960). In very good/near fine condition.
