Printed in red and black with blue stars on “Hollandsch” paper. Clandestine wartime publication. Pontius was the war pseudonym of the Dutch poet H.W.J.M. Keuls who translated the 42 quatrains of the Rubaiyat from Fitzgerald’s English version. Number 349 of a limited edition of 525 copies. Usual light foxing, not affecting the illustrations.
