Original grey cloth clamshell box with gilt embossed titles on front cover and spine. Published in a limited edition of 285 numbered copies printed by Mourlot. 250 copies were printed on Arches, 20 Roman numbered copies were printed on Japan paper. In addition 15 Hors Commerce copies on Arches were printed for the artist, the publisher and his collaborators. Ours is number 148 of 250 copies on Arches. All copies were signed by Chagall on the colophon page. Aside from the signed impressions of the frontispiece of the 20 Roman numbered copies no individual lithographs were signed. One of the top series by Marc Chagall Illustrating the exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt. All lithographs are in fine condition with strong impressions and vivid colors. One lithograph with faintest crease to lower corner. Clamshell box with light wear. The single page lithographs measure 50,5 x 37 cm. The box measures 52,5 x 39 cm.
