Two decks of playing cards designed by Sonia Delaunay. Each 55 cards (including 3 jokers). First created in 1960 the playing cards were reissued in 1980 on the occasion of the first retrospective exhibition of the works of Sonia Delaunay in the United States. The exhibition was organized by Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. This 1980 edition was edited by Jacques Damase. Comes with a 21 page booklet with an introduction and a biography in English, French and German. Both decks in fine condition, one deck still sealed. Back of the box slightly scratched, otherwise fine. 13,5 x 10 cm.
